After losing Dad in 2008 Mum made the decision to move home. She knew exactly what she wanted. It took some time to find, however from the first visit to Gipsy Close she knew it was a perfect place to be. Somewhere that she could be part of a community and enjoy all the local amenities that Balsall Common has to offer. When she had time on her hands and although she had her own car, she often took the bus into Solihull which is a beautiful scenic route. Her granddaughters visited her regularly via train direct from their homes in London to Berkswell and they often surprised her at the doorstep. Mum also took the train direct into Birmingham for regular catch ups with her sisters.
Having the large patio windows leading from the lounge onto the rear garden patio and the open plan design truly gives a feeling of bringing the outside in. Mum often commented how lucky she was to find this house, she loved being at the end of the road, of a night when she looked out of the kitchen window there is a streetlight that gives just enough light to be able to see what’s going on.
Due to Mums failing health, she has moved too somewhere that can give her the care and attention she now needs. It is now the right time to move on. Our best wishes go to whoever moves in after us.
