Vendor Comments
We’ve loved living in our home. We were charmed by the flow of space, the large mature garden and sycamore trees. We invested in renovating the house with the intention of it being our forever home, recognising its heritage by combining the traditional and modern to create a warm and homely feel.
We have enjoyed many parties and BBQ’s with friends and family in the house and garden and loved being able to walk home after a meal and drinks in Solihull town centre. There are some great shops, takeaways, a train station direct to Birmingham and two good parks within walking distance with even more a short drive away. You can get onto the canal just around the corner and within a few minutes you can be in the countryside, in summer we often enjoy walking our dogs to the Boat pub in Catherine-de-Barnes.
The house is a delight to live in all year round, in summer we open the French doors into the back garden that catches the sun throughout the day and in winter the stove makes it welcoming and cosy. It is full of surprises, with plenty of storage and fabulous light and spacious rooms. We had the bench seating installed which has really made the dining room into the central social heart of the home, combined with the 4 large double bedrooms it offers everything a growing family could need.
It has been a hard decision to leave as it combines all the benefits of central living with the quiet and peaceful qualities of the countryside, waking up each morning to the unspoilt view of nature. It is with some sadness that we are now looking to sell but have decided that now is the right time for us to make the next step. It has been the source of much happiness and we are sure the new owners will feel the same.
