Vendor Comments
We purchased this property in 1994 and have been so happy here that leaving has been a very difficult decision for us to take. We are only doing so to be closer to our immediate family who live in a rural setting near Alcester. We are not and never have been habitual house movers.
We both love the countryside and the open farmland views, stretching back as far as the eye can see to the rear of our home is as far as I’m concerned, the gem in the crown. It is in sharp contrast to so much of the surrounding area that has been subject to new housing developments.
Having a flock of sheep at the end of the garden makes you really feel that you are in countryside, yet in reality only about a 10 minutes drive from Solihull town centre.
Sitting on our swing seat in the summer sun shine overlooking green fields and Mount Brook is something I will really miss.
During our time here we have also added a conservatory to the rear of the property and both a summer house and potting shed.
The front of the house offers off road parking for 2 vehicles. There is a private and separate garage to the rear.
We are very lucky to be situated within easy reach of Shirley and Solihull town centres with regular bus services to both, as well as being in close proximity to the railway stations at Solihull, Widney Manor and Whitlocks End.
The village centre of Cheswick Green provides a doctors surgery, pharmacy, newsagents and post office as well as the local pub. All within a 10 minute walk.
The school catchment area allows that any younger children could reasonably expect to go to either Cheswick Green or St Patricks at Earlswood.
Those that are older would normally go to Alderbrook or St Peters RC School in Solihull.
Over the years we have been very fortunate in having really good neighbours and I know that they will be very sad to see us leave, as we will be in leaving them behind.
Finally, we are 100% confident that the lucky buyer will absolutely love our home, and will probably keep asking themselves, why would anyone ever want to move.
